THE FORMAT / THREE SHOTS AT SUNSET

The gas station dance trend: the sequence, photos and AI version

The gas station dance video format combines a dance on a forecourt, a walking selfie and someone stepping out of a car. The appeal of an AI version is seeing your own cast in those three roles. You supply photos; the reference footage guides the movement, framing and setting. You do not need to film a dance or travel to a gas station to use this photo-based workflow.

What makes this a gas station dance video?

It is the combination of the setting and the sequence. The dance establishes the forecourt, the selfie brings a face close to the camera, and the car exit closes the scene. A generic dancing portrait may share the mood without recreating these three moments. Before choosing a template, watch its complete example and check whether it includes all three shots.

Our version uses a fixed template and produces an approximately 15-second vertical MP4 at 720×1280. It is designed for a phone screen. Different services can use different source footage, lengths, resolutions and model workflows, so the name alone does not tell you exactly what you will receive.

Which photo belongs in each shot?

  1. The dancer: choose a full-body photo, with shoes visible and enough room around the person. Cropped limbs give the model less information about the intended pose and outfit.
  2. The walking selfie: use a sharp face with even light. A waist-up photo is useful here because the face is prominent in the shot.
  3. The arrival: choose a full-body photo showing the outfit you want to appear during the car exit. Avoid another person blocking the subject.

Use one consenting adult per photo. You can reuse the same full-body photo in all three slots for a solo version, or use three people for a group cast. Reusing a photo does not create a new camera angle or recover details that are absent from the original image.

A real example, with its limits visible

Historical all-Pruna generated sample, 15 seconds, silent. It illustrates the format and does not demonstrate the current Kling O1 car-exit shot.

Look at faces during movement, hands, clothing edges and the moment the person leaves the car. AI can change these details between frames. A reference guides the shot; it does not guarantee exact choreography, identity or timing. The photo-to-video tutorial includes matched reference and generated frames so you can judge the differences before buying.

Do you need a prompt, an app or editing skills?

This workflow uses photos and a fixed sequence instead of a blank prompt box. You choose the cast on the website, review the email and price, and proceed to checkout when orders are available. Payment is one-time, with no subscription. The finished output is one MP4 rather than three separate clips that you must edit together.

For new orders using background delivery, you can leave after payment. Once generation, assembly and review finish, the system sends a private pickup link by email. The video and link expire 72 hours after completion, so download a copy to keep. Processing time depends on provider availability and review; there is no guaranteed delivery time.

Compare the complete output before comparing prices

Compare the same resolution and the total cost of one finished video. A headline entry price can refer to a lower resolution, while a general-purpose platform may require a credit purchase. Also check whether music and assembly are included, whether signup is mandatory, how long downloads remain available and what happens if generation fails.

GasStationDancer lists US$9.90 for one 720p video. After generation has started, a failed delivery needs a support review for a refund or replacement; it does not automatically trigger another paid generation. See our terms and generator comparison for the buying checklist.

What about the song and sharing?

The downloadable format includes music, while the public sample above is deliberately silent. A video purchase does not include commercial music rights. Check the rules of the platform where you intend to post, especially for ads or business accounts. Get permission from the people shown and make clear that the scene was generated with AI when sharing could otherwise mislead viewers.
